Wiawaka Center for Women is a 501(c)3 charitable organization dedicated to enriching and inspiring the lives of all women while we preserve their historical property and mission. They are celebrating their 122nd year in continuous operation in 2025 and are proud to be the oldest operating women’s retreat in the country. They do charge for overnight accommodations, meals, workshops, and events; However, much of the programming and operations are funded through donations.

ACRN (Adirondack Community Resource Network) serves as a tool for our local business community, facilitating deeper connections with the individuals who drive these businesses, and providing useful resources to support them. 

Mirroring the Prevention Council’s goals, the TUFF-eNUFF Challenge pushes kids and adults to work their way through obstacles and push themselves to come out on top! With a race for kids as well as teens/adults, this challenge is a fun way to show what you’re made of all while showing your support of a great organization!

The challenge course is open to kids, adults, and families; a mud covered terrain with hurdles to jump over, crawl under, and tread through will push all participants to their limits! 

The 1st Annual Inaugural Wooden Boat Cruse-A-Thon presented by Ron and Kathy of Love is on Lake George Cruises, in partnership with the Lake George Land Conservancy's 11th Annual Hike-A-Thon was held on July 5, 2023. 57 people and 4 dogs on 17 boats paraded along the shoreline from Dunham's Bay to Elizabeth Island.
